Principal Product Designer

I solve the problem in front of us, the problem underneath it, and what comes next.

I gravitate toward hard, foundational product problems. I look beyond the immediate feature to the workflows, data, architecture, and systems underneath it, then design for what the product needs now without creating tomorrow’s constraint.

A career spent going deeper

From the interface to the system beneath it.

01

Platform architecture

Rethought Metaimpact’s content model to create a simpler foundation for customer self-service, richer data experiences, and AI-assisted creation.

02

Agentic AI design

Designed Metaimpact’s Beacon experience, connecting specialized help with agent profiles, capabilities, and creator controls.

03

Designing for scale

Helped create systems and shared experiences that scaled across Meredith’s large portfolio of consumer brands.

How I think

The interface is the visible part. The real work often isn’t.

  1. 01

    Solve root causes, not symptoms.

A better interface can still be the wrong solution.

  2. 02

Design systems that simplify and scale.

    Today’s feature shouldn’t become tomorrow’s constraint.

  3. 03

    Build alignment before building interfaces.

Good decisions get much easier when the right people understand the problem together.

  4. 04

Make future work easier than today’s work.

Product design should create leverage, not just output.

About

I’ve spent my career moving between hands-on product design, systems work, emerging technology, and design leadership. I learned that I love leading, but I’m happiest when I’m still close enough to the work to make something.

Give me a messy product problem, a whiteboard, a few smart people, and enough room to question the premise.

Working on something complicated? Good.
